The final leg of the 2019 ŠKODA Celtic Cycling Series is the third running of ŠKODA Tour de Boyne Valley sportive. The event is hosted and organised by the Drogheda Wheelers CC and attracted 1500 cyclists in 2018.

Hosted in the historic town of Drogheda on Saturday 31st August, it promises to be a fantastic challenge for all levels. There are two routes for cyclist to choose from – option 1 Boyne Valley 95km and the Boyne Valley 155km. Registration is now open.

The SKODA Tour de Boyne Valley offers cyclist a real challenge for all abilities. The route is selected by Drogheda Wheelers CC and will bring you along some of the best cycling roads in Louth and Meath passing through the famous Boyne Valley. Cyclists will head out the coast road first of all heading north of Drogheda through Termonfeckin and the seaside summer resort of Clogherhead before heading inland. The event passes close to some of The Boyne Valley historic monuments while offering a great day out on the bike.

Registered cyclists will receive;

 ŠKODA Tour de Boyne Valley event jersey (*subject to early registration.)
ŠKODA cycling gift

Top quality feed stations along with Refueling and Energy Stops on the route.
On route supports.
Bike mechanics to support you before the event and post event masseuses to help cure the aches and pains after the event plus finishers medal.
There is a maximum number of places available for the event so early registration is advised.

Cycle 4 John 2019 Featured

Sunday 1st September is the very special sportive for John McNally. John was a big part of Portadown Cycling Club and the event is being organised by his family and friends. There are 3 routes on offer for all levels of cyclists. This event proved to be a great success last year with over 200 cyclists taking part all of whom enjoyed the post sportive BBQ. Great Dublin Bike Ride 2019 Featured

Sport Ireland, in conjunction with Cycling Ireland has teamed up with the Department of Transport, Tourism and Sport, Dublin City Council, Healthy Ireland and Fingal County Council for the Great Dublin Bike Ride, which will be held on the 29th September in Dublin.  It is a bike ride for all abilities novice to expert. 60km or 100km routes.  This event will be a flagship event in Ireland for the European Week of Sport.

Participants will take on a 62km route around the scenic shores Carlingford Lough starting and finishing in the Albert Basin, Newry.    The route will follow the coastline from Newry to Greenore through the picturesque villages of Omeath and Carlingford.  The Scenic Carlingford Ferry will provide a crossing from Greenore to Greencastle. Cyclists will continue their coastal route around the outskirts of Kilkeel, through Rostrevor and Warrenpoint before finishing in Newry.
